SDK Documentation

Ignition is a powerful industrial application platform, designed with the ability to add or remove modules to give you exactly the functionality you need. In addition to that, it was built from the ground up to support extensibility through its modular architecture. If some functionality you require is not already in the platform, you can create modules to add exactly what you need. You can add small pieces, from components and scripting functions, all the way up to creating whole systems inside Ignition. In fact, nearly all of the commercial pieces associated with Ignition, such as SQLBridge, Vision, and OPC-UA, are modules built with the same SDK that is available to you.
